[Isa 1]
1:1 The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.
1:2 Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth; for Jehovah hath spoken: I have 1nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.
1Or, made great and exalted children, See Ez 31:4.1:3 The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master’s crib; but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.
1:4 Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evil-doers, children that deal corruptly! they have forsaken Jehovah, they have despised the Holy One of Israel, they are estranged and gone backward.
1:5 2Why will ye be still stricken, that ye revolt more and more? 3the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.
2Or, Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt;1:6 From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and fresh stripes: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with oil.

1:7 Your country is desolate; your cities are burned with fire; your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, 4as overthrown by strangers.

1:10 Hear the word of Jehovah, ye 5rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the 6law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.

1:21 How is the faithful city become a harlot! she that was full of justice! righteousness lodged in her, but now murderers.
1:22 Thy silver is become dross, thy wine mixed with water.
1:23 Thy princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves; every one loveth bribes, and followeth after rewards: they judge not the fatherless, neither doth the cause of the widow come unto them.
1:24 Therefore saith the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, the Mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will ease me of mine adversaries, and avenge me of mine enemies;
1:25 and I will 12turn my hand upon thee, and 13thoroughly purge away thy dross, and will take away all thy 14tin;

2:2 And it shall come to pass in the latter days, that the mountain of Jehovah’s house shall be established 19on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow 20unto it.

3:1 For, behold, The Lord, Jehovah of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah star and staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water;
3:2 the mighty man, and the man of war; the judge, and the prophet, and the diviner, and the elder;
3:3 the captain of fifty, and the honorable man, and the counsellor, and the expert 29artificer, and the skilful enchanter.

5:13 Therefore my people are gone into captivity for lack of knowledge; and 59their honorable men are famished, and their multitude are parched with thirst.

5:23 that justify the wicked for a bribe, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!
5:24 Therefore as the tongue of fire devoureth the stubble, and as the dry grass sinketh down in the flame, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust; because they have rejected the 62law of Jehovah of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

81That is, A remnant shall return.7:4 And say unto him, Take heed, and be quiet; fear not, neither let thy heart be faint, because of these two tails of smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger of Rezin and Syria, and of the son of Remaliah.
7:5 Because Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah, have purposed evil against thee, saying,
7:6 Let us go up against Judah, and vex it, and let us make a breach therein for us, and set up a king in the midst of it, even the son of Tabeel;
7:7 thus saith the Lord Jehovah, It shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass.
7:8 For the head of Syria is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin; and within sixty-five years shall Ephraim be broken in pieces, so that it shall not be a people:
7:9 and the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliah’s son. If ye will not believe, surely ye shall not be established.
7:10 And Jehovah spake again unto Ahaz, saying,
7:11 Ask thee a sign of Jehovah thy God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above.
7:12 But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt Jehovah.
7:13 And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men, that ye will weary my God also?
7:14 Therefore 82Jehovah himself will give you a sign: behold, the young 83virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name 84Immanuel.

8:4 For before the child shall know how to cry, My father, and, My mother, the riches of Damascus and the spoil of Samaria shall be carried away before the king of Assyria.
8:5 And Jehovah spake unto me yet again, saying,
8:6 Forasmuch as this people have refused the waters of Shiloah that go softly, 93and rejoice 94in Rezin and Remaliah’s son;

54:1 Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more shall be the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith Jehovah.
54:2 Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thy habitations; spare not: lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes.
54:3 For thou shalt spread abroad on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall possess the nations, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.
54:4 Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth; and the reproach of thy widowhood shalt thou remember no more.
54:5 For thy Maker is thy husband; Jehovah of hosts is his name: and the Holy One of Israel is thy Ransomer; the God of the whole earth shall he be called.
54:6 For Jehovah hath called thee as a wife forsaken and grieved in spirit, even a wife of youth, when she is cast off, saith thy God.
54:7 For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.

56:1 Thus saith Jehovah, Keep ye justice, and do righteousness; for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.
56:2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that holdeth it fast; that keepeth the sabbath from profaning it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.
56:3 Neither let the foreigner, that hath joined himself to Jehovah, speak, saying, Jehovah will surely separate me from his people; neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.

58:9 Then shalt thou call, and Jehovah will answer; thou shalt cry, and he will say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking wickedly;

60:17 For copper I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood copper, and for stones iron. I will also make thy officers peace, and 650thine exactors righteousness.
